The BI Solutions Architect will lead all aspects of the delivery of BI solutions & related components (data warehousing, data management, and BI architectures and tools) for BI. The incumbent must have a fundamental comprehension across all areas of BI from the technical and business perspectives. The incumbent must understand business challenges & translates them into requirements/solutions.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for architectural design, development and deployment of cost effective and sustainable business intelligence technical and application solutions to meet business requirements.

As a Business Intelligence Solutions Architect, you have high-level responsibility for the architecture, design, development and deployment of enterprise BI solutions. You will provide a leadership role on technical teams and handle the most complex business intelligence analytics, application architecture design, project management issues and technical challenges. You will also work with management and cross-functional peers on long-range projects requiring creative solutions.

Requirements:

• Comp Science Degree or two (2) year Computer related Diploma.
• Five (5) years of SQL Server, Oracle or Sybase experience.
• Canadian Citizenship.
• Data warehouse development expertise and data modeling knowledge.
• Must have prior consulting experience.
• Excellent communication skills and excellent analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage independent tasks and priorities to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.
• Extensive experience in successfully delivering major business BI solutions into implementation will be complemented by your extensive knowledge of contemporary application architecture concepts.
• Presales skills are a strong asset.

You will maintain excellent and on-going relationships with clients while maintaining a high level of morale and energy throughout the organization, and a strong commitment to corporate goals. Description:

• Understand the market(s) and keeping abreast of market trends, technology, customer input, economic indicators, and the business climate as it affects BI Builders.
• Help maintain and improve BI Builders image with customers.
• Recommend “changes for improvement” to the Project Manager/Executive Team.
• Surface new opportunities inside of BI Builder accounts to the Sales team.
• Assist the Sales process and “solutioning” an approach.
• Creation of “packaged” IP for reuse with other customers (E.g. Questionnaires, Data Governance White Papers)
• Creation of Methodology and supporting Documentation Sets
• Constantly look for ways to improve BI Builders (both internal process and project delivery) to improve CSAT, culture, revenue and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality project deliverables to clients on time and on budget.
• Conduct Senior Level Interviews Assessments, BI roadmaps and Strategies.
• Creation of useful documentation to support delivery and IP creation.
• Create prototypes for customers.
• Provide Project Management.
• Provide Program Management.
• Design Data Models to support BI goals
• Work with ETL tools to populate physical data models.
• Ensure BI Builders’s consulting procedures (to follow) are implemented fully.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior consultants.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (with significant IS experience) or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, with significant business experience.
• Experience with database and data analysis technology, as well as with enterprise applications and project management.
• Canadian Citizenship.

Description:

The Informatica Developer is a consultant working on behalf of The BI Builders while on an engagement with our client in Calgary.  This engagement is expected to be a 4 to 6 month contract.

Responsibilities:

• • Suggest and implement performance tuning activities
• • Design the mapping and end-to-end data flow
• • Understand the range of options and best practices for common ETL design techniques - such as change data capture, key generation and optimization.
• • Awareness of upgrade options, enhancements, add-ons and features in the ETL tool with a view to improving the productivity.

Requirements:

• • Computer Science Degree or two (2) year Computer related Diploma
• • ETL experience with strong proficiency in ETL concepts, specifically Informatica, Performance Tuning, Informatica PowerCenter, Language/Tool Informatica
• • A minimum 3 years experience in Informatica. (Informatica PowerCenter - Level 3)
